Single Room Rental - Solo Living Units
CHAD created another innovative housing solution in 2008 for a real housing problem. The workforce person who is a bagger at the food store, or a fast food service person, makes around $8/hour. They can only afford about $400 a month for housing. CHAD has converted a 2-bedroom apartment into three single-room rentals. A single adult is able to rent one of the bedrooms and use a shared common area, bathroom and kitchen with two other persons. The single rooms have locks and solid core doors, the bedrooms are furnished and the common area has a table and chairs and sofa.
